Store break-in sends police dogs on chase

Prince William police are investigating a break-in at Shooters Paradise in the 13979 block of Jefferson Davis Highway in Woodbridge that occurred Tuesday, said Detective Dennis Mangan, police spokesman, on Wednesday.

Mangan said police arrived on the scene and saw two black men exit the store and run up a hill toward Bayside Avenue.

A K-9 unit, which had already been dispatched followed a scent and located two juveniles. Mangan said an investigation is ongoing and nothing was taken.

Various appliances stolen from new town homes

Four town houses under construction were burglarized between Friday and Monday, Prince William police said Wednesday.

The D.R. Horton Builders’ town houses are under construction at the intersection of Palmero Terrace and Stockholm Way in Woodbridge. A refrigerator, dishwasher, microwave, stove, whirlpool bath and an air conditioning unit were all taken.

Electronics, CDs stolen from Dale City Kindercare

Electronics were stolen from the Kindercare Learning Center in the 14900 block of Cloverdale Road in Dale City between Monday and Tuesday, Prince William police said Wednesday.

Two televisions, cell phones, a fax machine, a computer monitor and two compact disc players were stolen. There was no sign of forced entry.
