Come to Manassas Park’s Movies in the Park on Friday and Saturday evenings at Signal Hill Park. The event is sponsored by the Potomac News & Manassas Journal Messenger and proceeds will go to the Child Protection Partnership.

There is a $5 per car parking fee and food will be on sale. Call 703-335-8872 for the movie title. Gates open at 7 p.m. Friday and 6 p.m. Saturday.

Jazz band Project Natale will kick off Saturday’s festivities at 6 p.m. The show is free to the public.

Feel like dancing a jig?

Come to the Introduction to Irish Social Dancing on Saturday at 10:30 a.m. at Bull Run Library.

Check out the Riches of the Family, an exhibit of African-American artists from Virginia in the Caton Merchant Family Gallery at the Center for the Arts at the Candy Factory through Sept. 19.

The Candy Factory is at 9419 Battle St. in Old Town Manassas. The free exhibit is open for viewing from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday and from 1 to 5 p.m. on Saturdays.

Tune up your Civil War knowledge with Lee Versus Pope: Bull Run Revisited on Aug. 28 at 7:30 p.m. at the Bull Run Library.

Jim Burgess, a museum specialist from the National Park Service, will give a talk on the Second Battle of Manassas. The event is free and is handicap accessible.
