Manassas Journal Messenger | Homeless city man stabbed

A homeless Manassas man was stabbed in the neck, arm and leg in the woods behind the 9400 block of Scarlet Oak Drive early Wednesday, a police spokesman said.

He is listed in stable condition after being flown to Inova Fairfax Hospital, said Sgt. Bill Goodman, Manassas police.

Police Officer M.R. Sukeena was flagged down on Grant Avenue near Douglas Street by a man who said he saw someone faltering down the street.

Police found the 32-year-old Hispanic victim quickly. He was bleeding excessively.

The victim was robbed before the stabbing between 2:30 and 3 a.m. by a man he had beendrinking with, police said. The suspect is described as white and about 35 years old with a medium build. He was wearing black clothes.
