MANASSAS –?Lou Mazzanti Jr. of Levittown, Pa. averaged a 228 in qualifying on Sunday to lead the field in the PBA Senior Manassas Open at Bowl America.

Roger Workman, Bruce Byrd, Gary Hiday and Sal Bongiorno rounded out the top five. Richard Holmes of Reva was 30th with a 205 average while Stafford’s Pete Gunn was 32nd with a 204 average.

B squad qualifiers bowl eight games today starting at 10 a.m. while A squad bowlers begin at 5 p.m.
