County ranger charged with hit and run on trailer
A 47-year-old Prince William County Park Authority ranger from Woodbridge was charged with hit and run and filing a false police report for telling officers his car was hit in the parking lot of the Prince William Police Department’s Gar-Field Substation, said Detective Dennis Mangan.
Ronald Walker was charged after police discovered the damage on his car was not consistent with his story, Mangan said. Officers said a construction trailer at Anne Moncure Wall Park in Montclair was damaged in a way consistent with the cruiser.
Mangan said the trailer was knocked off its base.
22-year-old hit with bottle near Polo Loco restaurant
A 22-year-old man was hit in the face with a bottle outside Poco Loco restaurant at 14505 Jefferson Davis Highway in Woodbridge at 12:50 a.m. Oct. 1, Prince William police said Tuesday. The bone above his left eye was broken and he received several stitched to close the wounds on his face.
Jorge Gomez, 23, of 5010 Linden Street in Woodbridge; Benjamin H. Joya-Bentura, 19, of no fixed address; and Peidro Mendoza, 19, of 13728 Lindendale Road in Dale City were charged with malicious wounding.
Men assault 19-year-old at Woodbridge gas pump
A 19-year-old man was assaulted after pulling up next to a gas pump at the same time as a 1999 Chrysler PT Cruiser at 5:10 p.m. Saturday at 12871 Gordon Blvd. in Woodbridge, Prince William police said Tuesday.
The victim and two occupants of the other car argued, and the victim was punched twice in the face. He suffered a laceration over his left eyebrow.
The assailants are described as white men. The first is 6 feet 2 inches tall and about 300 pounds. He has a potbelly and was wearing a maroon shirt, police said. The second is between 25 and 35 years old, 6 feet tall, and about 179 pounds. He has brown hair and blue eyes and wore a black and blue tank top.
